#9 Cocoa Beach, Hooking and Pink Flamingos.....
Last week I had the pleasure of meeting a friend from home for lunch at Cocoa Beach Pier. Our parking fee allowed us to walk to the end of the pier to see the fishers. You can rent a rod and everything you need for $20. There where plenty of fishers but not any fish.
There were lots of people on the beach and in the water. This is quite the contrast to our beach here at Playalinda. This is where you go to enjoy lots of tourists doing touristy things!!!
So many signs. I think I could do a blog just on signs we see when we travel. Some make me laugh and some smile. This one just made me say, "Yeah!!!"
What a gorgeous picture. What a beautiful bird. It was so nice of it to pose for me.
The surfers had it right with their wet suits on!!!
Last Thursday, after finishing at the kitchen I went to this amazing quilt store to take a class on how to hook a rug using an old toothbrush as a needle. The instructor started by saying, "This is not going to be fun today." And I wondered to myself, "What am I doing here!?!?!?!?!" It was very interesting and now I hope to go from making scarves, still available in any colour for $10 each, to making rugs.
Todd arrived on Friday and in preparation for for his arrival we bought him this box of beer which he looked and said, "Oh, nice. I've tried all of these before." Oh, well......
Aren't these armadillos just the cutest little creatures?
One of our kids is making a living room around a beach theme so I'm going to buy these flamingos to put either end of the couch!!!!
